Olive oil Miró

Joan Miró i Ferrà (Barcelona, 1893 - Palma de Mallorca, 1983) was one of the most important figures in 20th century art. Miró discovered the Mont-roig del Camp landscape, which was to become a primary stimulus for his painting, in 1911. There, he established an intimate bond with the landscape from his farmhouse, where he spent long periods. From that moment nature will be present in all his career.

The incomparable extra virgin olive oil Miró is produced in Mont-roig del Camp. It seeks to represent the rapport between the artist and Mont-roig del Camp, paying homage to Mediterranean landscape, rural world and its people. Miró's, painting “Catalan peasant by moonlight” evinces the feeling of admiration and respect that the artist held for this rural world and serves as an icon for this exceptional olive oil.
